I am a delivery Captain open to sailing vessels 40-70 foot for short or longer passage deliveries. As of March 2025, I have 31 deliveries and around 35,000NM sailed, half offshore, half coastal. I captained the last 5 deliveries. I worked with my former partner as co-lead on the 15 deliveries before that, and as Mate/Crew under different captains when I began my delivery career. The majority of sailing yachts I work on are between 40'-55'.

I am well versed at weather assessments, routing and navigation. Even before becoming the Captain/lead, I was in charge of those aspects of long passages with my partner which gave me the opportunity to step into Captains role with ease. I am a decent mechanic with basic maintenance skills and knowledge. While no one wants things to go wrong on a sailing vessel, the reality is that it's a boat and things go wrong. I am diligent with systems checks, bilge, engine and battery checks on passage to prevent the comedy of errors that inevitably strike in bad weather or in the middle of the night.

The longest passage I have sailed and been in charge of as a project manager for the delivery was BVI - Panama-Hawaii and Alaska. Check out the cover page track we left!

The worst weather I have been in is my own s/v, 36' which was 40 knot winds and 25 ft seas. All's well that ends well.

The most entertaining thing I have seen at sea is two giant turtles mating in the Gulf of Mexico.

I don't get seasick, love the early morning watch and travels. I can speak Spanish and Swedish at a conversational level. I am an easy-going and enthusiastic person. I am in-shape, enjoy adventures and stories alike, a good book and just watching the water pass by. I have had and live aboard my sailboat and others that I have managed for the last 6 years.
